The 33-923 is a high-quality achromatic doublet lens, designed and manufactured by Edmund Optics. This lens, with a diameter of 30 mm, is specifically engineered for use in the visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) spectrum, spanning 400-1000nm. The lens is designed to correct chromatic aberration, ensuring sharp, clear images across the entire spectrum.

The lens features a focal length (EFL) of 40mm, providing a moderate magnification suitable for a wide range of applications. The lens is constructed from two types of glass, N-BAF10 and N-SF57, both from Schott, ensuring high optical quality and durability.

The lens is coated with Edmund Optics' VIS-NIR coating (edm visnir0sp2002000), which is applied to both the front and back surfaces. This coating enhances the lens's performance in the VIS-NIR spectrum, reducing reflection and increasing transmission.

The lens geometry is carefully designed to optimize performance. The edge thickness is 9.87mm, while the center thickness is 10.9mm. The lens features three radii of curvature: r1 is 25.62mm, r2 is -25.62mm, and r3 is -144.37mm. These radii, combined with the lens's thickness and material, contribute to the lens's excellent optical performance.
