The 88-596-INK is a high-quality achromatic doublet lens, designed and manufactured by Edmund Optics. This lens, with a diameter of 75 mm, is specifically engineered for use in the visible to near-infrared spectrum, covering the wavelength range of 400-1000nm.

The lens is constructed from two types of glass, N-BK7 and N-SF5, both from Schott. This combination is used to correct chromatic aberration, a common issue in lenses where different wavelengths of light are focused at different points. By using these materials, the 88-596-INK provides clear, sharp images across the entire spectrum it covers.

The lens has an effective focal length (EFL) of 200mm, which is the distance from the lens's optical center to the point where the light rays converge. This long focal length makes the lens suitable for applications that require high magnification or a narrow field of view.

The 88-596-INK is coated with Edmund Optics' VIS-NIR-0SP2002000 coating on both the front and back surfaces. This coating is designed to reduce reflection and increase transmission, improving the overall efficiency and performance of the lens.

The lens has a thickness of 15.42mm at the edge and 17.94mm at the center. The center thickness can be further reduced to 6mm if necessary. The lens also features a multilayer design, with radii of 118.81mm, -96.37mm, and -288.97mm, which contributes to its excellent optical performance.
