The PAC013 is a high-performance achromatic doublet lens, designed and manufactured by MKS/Newport. This lens is specifically engineered for visible light applications, with a wavelength range of 400-700nm. The lens is part of the Multiplets sub-type, featuring a circular base shape and a geometry that includes a diameter of 6.35mm, a thickness edge of 2.6mm, and an effective focal length (EFL) of 19mm.
The lens is composed of two types of materials, N-BAK4 and N-SF10, both from Schott. These materials are known for their excellent optical properties, contributing to the lens' high-quality performance. The lens is coated with MgF2 on both the front and back surfaces, which enhances its transmission capabilities and reduces surface reflections.
The geometry of the lens is carefully designed with specific radii and thicknesses to ensure optimal performance. The inner and outer radii are 0mm, while the first and second radii are -9.145mm and -30.911mm respectively. The thickness at the center is 3.2mm, with individual thicknesses at the first and second centers being 2.2mm and 1mm respectively.
