The PAC02AR.16 is a high-quality achromatic doublet lens from MKS/Newport, designed for use in the near-infrared and infrared spectrum, specifically between 750nm and 1550nm. This lens is part of the Multiplets subtype, featuring a circular base shape and a multielement design for superior optical performance.
The lens has a diameter of 12mm and a total thickness of 8.65mm at the edge. The inner and outer radii are 0mm, indicating a planoconvex geometry. The effective focal length (EFL) is 20mm, and the curvature radii are r1=-9.59mm and r2=-45.11mm. The center thickness of the first and second elements are 8mm and 2.5mm, respectively, resulting in a total center thickness of 10.5mm.
The lens is made from two types of Schott glass: N-LAK22 and N-SF6. These materials were chosen for their excellent optical properties in the NIR-IR range. The lens is coated with New AR-16e on both the front and back surfaces, reducing reflection and increasing transmission in the target spectral range.
