The PAC085 is a high-quality achromatic doublet lens from the renowned optical vendor MKS/Newport. This lens, with a diameter of 38.1 mm, is designed for use in the visible light spectrum, specifically between 400 and 700 nm.

The lens is constructed from two types of materials, N-BK7 and N-SF5, both from Schott, ensuring superior optical performance. The N-BK7, a borosilicate crown glass, is known for its low dispersion and high Abbe number, making it ideal for use in achromatic doublets. The N-SF5, a fluorite crown glass, further reduces dispersion, contributing to the lens's excellent chromatic correction.

The PAC085 features an effective focal length (EFL) of 400mm, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The lens's geometry is meticulously designed, with a center thickness of 10.5mm, an edge thickness of 9.4mm, and radii of curvature of 243.196mm, -179.334mm, and -537.615mm for the first and second surfaces, respectively.

The lens is coated with MgF2, a broadband anti-reflection coating that enhances transmission in the visible spectrum. This coating is applied to both the front and back surfaces of the lens, ensuring optimal performance.
