PAC086AR.14 50.8 mm Dia. N-BK7/N-SF5 Visible Achromatic Doublet; EFL=150mm 430-700nm

The PAC086AR.14 is a high-quality achromatic doublet lens, designed and manufactured by MKS/Newport. This lens is specifically engineered for use in the visible light spectrum, with an effective focal length (EFL) of 150mm, making it suitable for a wide range of optical applications.

The lens features a 50.8 mm diameter and is constructed from two types of glass: N-BK7 and N-SF5, both from Schott. This combination of materials helps to minimize chromatic aberration, a common issue in optical systems, particularly when dealing with broadband light sources. The lens is coated with a new AR-14 coating on both the front and back surfaces, further enhancing its performance by reducing reflection and increasing transmission.

The geometry of the lens is carefully designed to optimize its optical performance. The lens has a center thickness of 12.5mm, with the first and second surfaces having thicknesses of 9.5mm and 3mm, respectively. The curvature of the surfaces is also precisely controlled, with radii of 88.664mm, -69.678mm, and -215.188mm for the first, second, and third surfaces, respectively.
