The A280-B is a high-quality aspheric lens from Thorlabs, designed with a 6.5 mm diameter and a focal length of 18.4 mm. This lens is made from H-LAK54 glass, a molded glass material known for its excellent optical properties. The lens is coated with a broadband anti-reflection coating, optimized for the 650-1050 nm range, which minimizes surface reflections and increases transmission.

The A280-B features a unique aspheric design, which provides superior optical performance compared to traditional spherical lenses. The aspheric surface reduces spherical aberration, coma, and other optical aberrations, resulting in a higher-quality image. The lens has a numerical aperture (NA) of 0.15, which determines the light-gathering ability of the lens and its ability to resolve fine details.

The lens has a center thickness of 2.17 mm and an edge thickness of 1.77 mm, providing excellent mechanical stability. The lens is available in two different coating options: tho b bbar for both the front and back surfaces. This coating provides excellent optical performance and durability.
