The AC050-015-C is a high-quality unmounted achromatic doublet lens, sourced from the renowned optical component manufacturer, Thorlabs. This lens is designed for use within the 1050-1700nm wavelength range, making it suitable for a wide array of applications within the infrared spectrum.

The lens features a base shape of a circle, with a diameter of 5mm, and is constructed from two types of Schott glass: N-BAF10 and N-SF6. These materials are carefully selected to minimize chromatic aberration, a common issue in optical systems where different wavelengths of light are focused at different points. The achromatic design ensures that the lens focuses both red and blue light to the same point, providing sharp and clear images.

The lens geometry includes an edge thickness of 2.9mm, an inner radius of 0mm, and an outer radius of 0mm. The radii of curvature for the three surfaces are r1=5.3mm, r2=-5.5mm, and r3=15.2mm. The center thicknesses for the two surfaces are 2mm and 1.3mm, respectively.

The lens is coated with Thorlabs' proprietary anti-reflection coating, THo AC1050-1700-C, on both the front and back surfaces. This coating is specifically designed to reduce surface reflections and increase transmission within the 1050-1700nm wavelength range.
