The AX1240-B is a 12.7 mm diameter Axicon Prism from Thorlabs, designed with a plano-convex geometry and a 5 mm Anti-Reflective (AR) coating optimized for the 650-1050nm wavelength range. This Axicon Prism features a base shape of a circle and a convexity of convex, with a thickness of 5 mm at the edge and 10.3 mm at the center. The alpha angle, which measures the angle between the axis of symmetry and the optical surface, is 0.6981317007977318 radians.

The Axicon Prism is made of UVFS material with the catalog number MAL-1965. The front surface of the prism is coated with a broadband Anti-Reflective coating (tho b bbar), which significantly reduces surface reflections and increases transmission. This makes the AX1240-B an ideal choice for applications that require high transmission and low loss, such as beam shaping, laser beam collimation, and light coupling.
